 Liv Health & Wellness prescribes the medication Semaglutide for medical weight loss management. The initial consultation costs $150, which includes a medical history review, medication review, and a prescription for labs. Before your office visit, we require you to complete all requested documentation and consents.

At your follow-up appointment(Level 1), after reviewing your labs, Semaglutide will be prescribed and shipped to your home. The cost of Semaglutide, all monthly follow-up appointments, shipping of medication and supplies will be $300.

Increase Levels while you sail through the weight loss program

Wegovy is a once-weekly FDA approved injectable medication for weight loss. However, due to its recent approval by the FDA in the summer of 2021, it is still very expensive (approximately $1,391 per month with GoodRX). You may also struggle with issues like back-ordered product or insurance coverage. Fortunately, Semaglutide, which is the active ingredient in Wegovy, can be compounded by a specialized pharmacy at self-pay pricing and shipped to your door.

Semaglutide works by increasing Leptin, a hormone that helps us feel full and stay full longer. It mimics a hormone called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) that targets areas of the brain to decrease appetite and food drive. Important safety information: Semaglutide is contraindicated with a personal family history of MTC or in patients with MEN 2, as well as in patients with prior sensitivity to Semaglutide. Hypersensitivity reactions including anaphylaxis can occur with Semaglutide. Heart rate increases: Mean increases in resting heart rate of 1 to 4 beats per minute were observed in Semaglutide patients compared to placebo patients in clinical trials. Monitor heart rate at regular intervals. If you experience symptoms of heart palpitations or a racing heartbeat at rest, stop taking the medication. Suicidal behavior and ideation have been reported in clinical trials with other weight management programs; notify the provider if you start to experience signs and symptoms.

The most common adverse reactions reported in less than 5% of patients treated with Semaglutide are nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, headache, fatigue, abdominal pain, flatulence, gastroenteritis, gastroesophageal reflux disease and other gastrointestinal disorders.
